Loukia Richards is a visual artist working in the fields of textile art,
participa- tory art and communication. She is the author of "Stitchathon",
a crossover of art, narration and theater.
She graduated from the School of Economics of the National
and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Visual Communication
Department of the School of Fine Arts (HdK) in Berlin.
Loukia had a long career in the media sector including press,
film and advertising.
She had solo shows in Berlin, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Athens,
Nafplio and Leonidio and participated in various group exhibitions in Berlin,
Athens, Thessaloniki, London, Stockholm, Lissabon, Apeldoorn and Trier.
She is a scholar of "Onassis Benefit Foundation", "Fulbright
Foundation", "Crafts Council England" and "Stiftung Künstlerdorf
There are numerous press reviews and catalogue documentation on her work
in the fields of visual art, jewellery art and participative art.
